Amyco has been harvesting, packaging and marketing forest mushrooms and other edible forest products since 2009. Initially nomadic, the company acquired its expertise in British Columbia and even in the American West, mainly in the sale of morels.

The company then branched out into other edible mushrooms, then forest plants, in order to diversify its products and weave an impressive distribution network extending as far as France.

In 2013, with a view to making mushroom picking accessible to those who want to make a living from it, Amyco moved to the Charlevoix region, where owner Anthony Avoine is particularly involved in teaching. For several years, he has been a teacher at the Centre d’études collégiales en Charlevoix, in the “Cueillette et traitement des champignons forestiers” attestation of college studies program,

Today, the company is based in Scotstown in the Eastern Townships.
